Also bear in mind that SAP has released S/4HANA—and plans to phase out support for their previous system, ECC. As such, it’s a smart move to upgrade to S/4HANA as soon as possible. The new solution includes far more sophisticated functionality, and its in-memory database makes the software dramatically faster. In addition, you’re locking in over a decade of support available for S/4HANA. By contrast, ECC support will end in 2027.
