Approyo Helps Students in the Midst of COVID-19 Chaos
Approyo, a leader in SAP support and services is willing to help those affected in this dire time. As of today, March 16th, it was reported that there are 47 active cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) within Wisconsin. Businesses, schools, and events have been getting cancelled left and right with the growing concern of the spreading of this virus. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, college students throughout the country have been kicked out of their dorms and many no longer have normal access to the classes that help them get the education they need to be successful in the world today.
If the students being forced off of campus want to work, Approyo will hire them to support them in this time of need. We are looking for hard workers who want to learn about business and collect a paycheck to survive without school. We'll call it an SAP Business crash course. CEO Chris Carter stated, “I’m looking to hire the students for the time they are off to keep them busy, keep them learning, and help us out as well.” We have two interns that have started this morning and are looking to gain insight into the business world. With that being said, Cole Hyps and Catherine McCarthy will be joining us for the next few weeks while classes are out due to the Coronavirus.
Cole Hyps is a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Freshman pursuing a degree in the Business school. Cole is currently undecided but has interests in finance and accounting, he’s good with numbers and organization. Because Cole has an undecided major, he is open to learning about anything and everything about Business. Cole will be our Sales Intern, working with the Sales team in gaining prospective clientele and increasing the number of leads we incur. “I’m looking forward to gain experience with Approyo, hopefully it will help me in deciding my future major”, Cole said.
Catherine is a current Freshman attending Winona State University as a Recreation & Tourism major with a minor in Marketing. She has a wide range of interests relating to business and marketing, including design, video, and the processes that go into marketing for social media. Catherine will be our Marketing Intern, working with our Marketing and Sales team in our current planning efforts. “I’m thankful that I am able to continue gaining experience in the real world, while in pursuit of my degree”, Catherine said.
With both of them being college Freshmen, we are happy to introduce them to the business world so they can better understand everything that goes into running a successful company and providing guidance in hopes of helping them down their career path.
We look forward to having both of them as a part of the Approyo team. We hope to teach them more about not only the ERP world but everything that goes into it, benefitting them in their real-world experience before they graduate. With the COVID-19 pandemic, there are plenty of people out of a job for the foreseeable future, and we want to help any of those students who are affected by it.
