SAP Expands Learning Initiatives in Response to Coronavirus
SAP SE announced Friday a new learning initiative available to everyone to help continue learning and growth during the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
“We want to make sure education does not take a back seat during this time. Students and subject-matter experts need access to safe and healthy learning environments to continue their education virtually.” Christian Klein, co-CEO and member of the SAP SE Executive Board stated.
This initiative includes: openSAP Is Open to Everybody, Free Learning Offering for University Students With System Access and Global Certification from SAP, and SAP Young Thinkers Program Available to Everyone. All of them available through the openSAP platform.
OpenSAP is a platform which provides Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to anyone looking to gain more knowledge on innovative technology topics such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and more. OpenSAP is a network of online classrooms with multiple courses and forums, podcasts and micro learning formats for the SAP community to connect and learn. There are over 900,000 current users of openSAP, where you will be able to learn about various topics dealing with Applications, Cloud, Database & Technology, and Analytics. These courses are FREE of charge. You can also get a 14-day trial of SAP Learning Hub as well.
For students, SAP is providing their Digital Learning Offering for 90 days of access to four different learning categories in order to give them the knowledge they need to pursue a career in SAP. The areas of study include SAP S/4HANA, the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Finance solution, the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution and modeling in SAP HANA, all of them being related to scope and business processes behind these subjects. All of these training courses help students in preparation for an exam to achieve SAP global certifications. SAP has even taken a step further and now offers SAP Live classes, bringing people into a virtual classroom setting with an instructor.
The SAP Young Thinkers Program is available for teachers and students, creating inspiration for those learning about science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) subjects. Starting with the “Get Coding with Snap,” introduction course to coding for both kids and adults.
SAP encourages the SAP community to keep education at the forefront during these times. Although the schools may be closed, learning does not have to stop.
