SAP Releases Latest Update - SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2011

In October, SAP released the highlights of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2011, the next step in streamlining business service operations. This new release provides new changes in finances, supply chain, usability, procurement, order fulfillment, and more.

With SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP is providing a new generation of business applications – simple enterprise software for Big Data and agility. The In-memory cloud provides an app-like interface based around SAP Fiori, allowing customers to leverage IoT, Machine Learning, AI, and other advanced tools, giving them a better view of their data and positively influencing better business decisions. The main goal of this release is to continue streamlining customers' service operations.

Here are some of the recent upgrades to SAP S/4HANA Cloud:

  • Finance -- SAP has modernized the user experience for all SAP Fiori apps in Collective and Dispute Management. Improving the capabilities behind handling dispute cases and processing receivables with better data insights, improved features, and performance.

  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain -- Product Substitution is now available for advanced Available-To-Promise (aATP). When a product is not available, the system automates a proposed replacement product.

  • Sourcing & Procurement -- Customers can configure their own contact forms via print or e-mail to their suppliers. This allows the monitoring of performance by buyers, to ensure productivity and transparency in the buying and supplying process.

  • Professional Services -- Improve resource management by fulfilling ongoing HR staffing needs by streamlining communication on staffing such as expertise, skill sets, etc. to ensure compatibility for your company.

  • Enterprise Portfolio & Project Management -- Schedule project accounting jobs with automated scheduling and real-time results.

  • Sales -- Receive and process self-billing messages, edit messages in case of errors, and receive multiple order reasons and condition types in case of any differences.

  • Service Management -- Schedule periodic services with set intervals for maintenance, using up to 15 apps for maintenance planning.

  • GRC -- Access global risk and compliance tools to protect your business against data breaches with automated privacy procedures.

  • Product Compliance -- Track and monitor volumes for substances imported and produced within a country to define legal entities and production plants.

  • Asset Management -- Simplify new work requests by creating maintenance requests for objects such as equipment or locations, and store information in the new SAP Fiori app.

  • Two-Tier ERP -- Gain real-time visibility, track, and manage all projects and activities in a single platform with multi-level project scenarios.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is considered a subscription-based Software as a Solution (SaaS), and you only pay for the number of users you need and what you use. Having your system in the cloud allows for automatic upgrades to your database, meaning you can worry less about making changes to your IT environment.
